Kwaku Bediako, is the young fashion designer brain behind the design brand Chocolate. Kweku started Chocolate as a one man operation but says his business has now grown into a fashion house capable of handling 1000 orders a month. In an interview with CNN’s Amir Gaftari on African Start-up, Kwaku Bediako disclosed that the idea behind his brand name chocolate is aimed at making people crave for his products the more. Kweku revealed that his love for the arts is more than that of money making him do what he does. Talk by Dr Andreea Zara
SIGN UO to attend Dr. Zaara's talk on:

Causes and Causalities: An Aristotelian framework

Causes and causality are core in our explanatory attempts. While we use those concepts almost every day we rarely reflect on their meaning.

In fact, the way we conceptualize those concepts is tacitly rooted in the Newtonian paradigm which considers causes solely as efficient causes and implies a certain type of causality. Aristotle suggested a contrario that there are 4 types of irreducible causes and different causalities. This framework presents another world view and thought structure which enables us to enrich our analysis of social phenomena.

This presentation seeks to highlight the importance of taking time to think about the way we think and wishes to inspire to look for different perspectives.

MORE ABOUT DR. ANDREEA ZARA:

Andreea Zara holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Geneva, and is an expert on Organisational Studies. Her research and work experience spans from Switzerland to France to Vietnam to Romania to Serbia and she has done research on topics such as the Balkan Mafia in Serbia, Electricity distribution in Switzerland and industrial management in Vietnam.
