Alex Aberg Cobo is the Managing Director of Latin America at Minerva, where he overseas student outreach, strategic partnerships, media, and post-graduation placement in his region. In addition to this, Aberg Cobo has set up Minerva’s Buenos Aires residential locations and oversaw the student experience there.

Alex will be on campus next week as our guest and he will be introduced to the ALU Community to share his experiences and expertise.

Alex has spoken at multiple innovation and educational panels, including Cumbres de Líderes por Educación in Colombia and the Tecnológico de Monterrey conference on innovation in education, and has been a guest speaker on CNN en Español, Reforma, Estado do Sao Paulo and La Nación, where he was one of three executives invited to discuss the University of the 21st Century.

Prior to Minerva, Aberg Cobo worked in multiple industries, including finance, where he founded his own financial advisory practice and served as a director at Deutsche Bank in New York and Buenos Aires. He has also worked at Morgan Stanley, initially in Capital Markets and M&A and later as Vice President in the Global High Yield Group. Aberg Cobo headed Corporate Development and the U.S. Operations of internet service provider and content producer El Sitio LLC. Aberg Cobo earned his J.D. from Universidad Católica Argentina and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
